Extensions need not be big to be useful; on a footage basis this is probably our most expensive project – but extending your home by two feet and reconfiguring the interior can improve space useability substantially! In this example we took down some inside walls to form a large kitchen complete with a free-standing steel column.

The vision was to create an oak picture frame through which the garden could be enjoyed. It took a fair amount of liaison with timber suppliers and glaziers to arrive at a solution that would allow natural movement and still keep the rain out..
